Right out of seminary, I became a Bible teacher and basketball coach, and later a youth pastor. Even though some of those relationships are now 15 years in the past, I am feeling the ripples of impact in my soul today.
Several of the students I taught at a private school have connected with me through Facebook. Many have shared details about their lives beyond high school and how they are living out the lessons I had the privilege to teach them. Their journeys and words have encouraged my spirit.
We have switched roles and now I learn from them!
