One of the things I love about the show American Idol is that you can see the difference between singers and show-stoppers. It starts with music, but the reality is that the dreams of each contestant hang on the balance of whether or not they can truly "own the stage" when given the opportunity.
There are a million good singers, but there a few stars who know what it is to create a moment that connects with the watching world.
